Pilot Pig Productions is a film production company based in Santa Monica, California. Its most notable production to date is teen romantic comedy, Cherries and Clover, a feature film shot exclusively by teenagers.
Pilot Pig Productions was founded on April 18, 2008 by Jack Vero. The company slogan, "Where Pigs Fly," exemplifies one of the fundamental goals of the company, that is, "to do the impossible."
The company's first project was a film called Cherries and Clover. At age 17, Vero conceived the idea of producing a professional grade feature film created exclusively by teenagers. Having no prior experience in filmmaking, and no real budget, he set out on what was widely considered a naive, or perhaps even "impossible" undertaking.
Three years later, Cherries and Clover -- a film written, produced, directed, funded, starring, and shot exclusively by amateur teenage filmmakers -- is virtually complete and of sufficient quality to attract the attention of several Hollywood distributors, small news agencies, and the beginnings of a devoted cult following.
In the summer of 2010, the company relocated to Santa Monica, California where it is currently finishing postproduction on Cherries and Clover and developing future projects.
"Pilot Pig Productions pursues perfection, promotes perpetual progress, and produces powerful pictures of passion and purpose."
